This setting controls whether the program prints a warranty label. To print a label:

  • This setting must be turned on

  • The part must have OEM, Extended, or After Market warranty

If these conditions are met, the program prints a label whenever someone adds a part to a repair order (RO) through TTP or Parts Workstation. The label lists the:

  • RO number

  • Purchase order (PO) number

  • Unit ID

  • Shop ID

  • Part number

  • Date

  • Meter

  • Component code

Description

Use this setting to set the number of minutes that elapse before TTP logs an employee out and returns to the login screen. This is a security measure to prevent employees from using someone else’s login.

    The system times out after two minutes of inactivity.

You can increase or decrease the number of minutes with the up and down arrows.

Description

If you set a maximum number of shift hours, and the technician exceeds that number, TTP will give the technician an error message the next time they log in. The message states that maximum shift hours have been exceeded. The technician cannot log in. A supervisor will need to correct the problem before the technician can log in.

If the technician exceeded the maximum shift hours because they forgot to sign out the day before, TTP will let them log off from their current job.

Description

This setting lets you apply a buffer time. The buffer time is used to determine if TTP should apply the overtime feature.

For example, assume the log-in buffer is set to five minutes. Technician A logs in five minutes late, but they also log out five minutes after their shift end. TTP would not apply overtime to the minutes after the shift end because of the log-in buffer.

This setting controls whether technicians can enter part lines with negative values on an RO. When TTP receives a part line with a negative value, it returns that number of parts to inventory.

Technicians in TTP can enter parts with negative values in ROs. TTP then returns those parts to inventory.

For example, assume an RO has a part line for four headlights. The technician realizes that only two headlights are needed. By adding a part line for -2 headlights, the technician lets TTP know to return two headlights to inventory.

This setting will allow you to see all the open Repair Orders for a unit on the Open Repair Orders List based on the repair shop. For example, if this option is active for Shop 01 and a unit is entered on a new RO in shop 01, any pre-existing open ROs for that unit in Shop 01 will be displayed and can be selected instead of creating a new RO.

Max Overage For SRT Hours On Tasks

Description

If a percentage is entered, when tasks are checked in TTP it will compare the technician’s total SRT Time including the task checked to the technician’s actual RO time plus the percentage amount. If the Total SRT Time is less than or equal to the RO hours times the Max Overage %, the task can be checked. If checking the task would cause the Total SRT Time to exceed the RO Hours times the Max Overage %, an error will be displayed that the task cannot be checked because it will cause the Max SRT Time to be exceeded.

Example: If the Max Overage is 120%, the test to allow checking the task would be as follows: Total SRTTIME ⇐ (RO Hours * 1.20)

Once changes have been completed to the checkoff list in TTP, the user is required to enter their password confirming that they made the change when they log off the section. If the user makes no changes, s/he is not required to enter a password to log off the section.

If the Print Tire Labels option is set to YES, when tires are taken off a unit in TTP, it prompts the user to print the Tire Off Information Label for each tire that comes off. This Tire Off data is included:

  • Unit number

  • Off Pressure

  • Off Depth

  • Reason for removal

  • Date

    No prompt is displayed when a tire is removed from a unit.

Description

This setting allows the employee to return a tire taken off a unit to the inventory for the shop the repair order is created on.

When an employee assigns a tire to inventory they will be prompted to create a quick repair order. The quick repair order will allow you to assign a credit amount to the tire and will add the tire back into inventory at the new amount.

    Tires cannot be returned to inventory by the employee.

  • YES (default)
    Tires can be returned to inventory by the employee.
