Managing DriverSeat features

DriverSeat® by Trimble Transportation. is a web-based program that your drivers can use to keep in touch with their company while on the road. Drivers can also use it to see pay summary information and trip information that can include a trip’s route in the map feature. A personal calendar and scheduler allow drivers to keep track of important dates and appointments and request time off.

You must determine how your company wants drivers to use DriverSeat and then set up the features they use to best suit your needs. The general process you will follow when setting up DriverSeat is outlined below. The links direct you to the online help for the specific tasks.

  1. Set up the basic Web application.

  2. Set up driver pay and trip information.

DriverSeat allows drivers to view information for available and assigned trips and to look up pay by a pay period or by trip. You can also determine whether or not to include the display of certain fields.

  3. Set up and use the CSA safety information.

DriverSeat can be set up to show drivers their inspection and violation data and where their safety ratings rank among other drivers in the company. These ratings are recorded with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and grouped into the Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs). Registration of your company DOT number through ClientCenter is a prerequisite for configuring CSA information.

  4. Manage time-off requests.

Drivers can request time off through their personal scheduler. You should periodically review this requested time off and approve or reject it.
