Before upgrading your production environment, Trimble Transportation recommends that you read the system requirements and install the latest version in a test environment. If you have questions, please contact your Trimble customer representative.

Once you have applied the ETS DBmod SQL to your database, do not:

  • Apply the totalmail DBmods SQL

  • Turn on the Go Notifications setting (the Enable push notifications check box assessed in Settings Manager)

Requirements

Dispatch systems, core functionality

  • TMWSuite core application version 2016.15_07.0311 or later

  • Fuel TMS version 16.20 or later
    Note: For Fuel installations, download and run PTS#89965 SQL against your fuel database.

  • TMW Operations version 16.20 or later

Dispatch systems using 2020.2 integration components

  • TMW Operations based functions are utilizing TMW Operations 2020.2 components

  • Fuel TMS based functions are utilizing Fuel TMS 2020.2 components

  • LTL Operations based functions are utilizing LTL Operations 2020.2 components

Microsoft SQL Server

  • SQL Server 2012 or later is required for this installation and for running ETSDBMods (Web Enterprise DBMods).

Microsoft® .NET Framework

Install or upgrade to the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework on your system. At a minimum, you should have V.4.6.2 installed.

As part of Trimble Transportation’s continuous improvement process, we have upgraded our applications to use Microsoft’s .NET Framework version 4.6.2. As a result, the minimum technical requirements have changed as follows:

  • Client operating systems must be at Windows 7 SP1 or higher.

  • Server operating systems must be at Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or higher.

If you are installing any of the Trimble Web Products applications, the installer will validate the proper version is installed. If it is not, you cannot complete the installation.

Trimble Transportation recommends that you test the Microsoft .NET Framework upgrade in your test environment prior to upgrading any of your production environments. This testing will indicate if there are environmental issues that must be addressed by you, and which are not the responsibility of Trimble.

eStat

3G Integration requires Microsoft ASP.NET MVC Security Update MS14-059.

Imaging

  • TMW Imaging version 4.1-20140930

  • If upgrading your TMW Imaging installation to use CMIS, e-mail Support to request the upgrade.

Installer

Non-Production Environment License limit is set to 100 users.

MSI

Additional setting relative to installing Framework allows you to place web-framework on the internal server. Framework is a requirement and must be installed during the new installation or upgrade process.

SSRS Report Library

If installing using the MSI, your report server must be at SQL Server 2008R2 or higher.

Enhancements

eStat Imaging

Microdea Imaging users can use move number to look up documents (TSW-515)

New setting options allow you to access documents based on a trip’s move number.

  • In the Imaging Settings page, enter MoveNumber in the Microdea Imaging Configuration’s Reference Column field.

  • In the Settings Manager page, select the Use Move Number to search for documents check box on the Imaging tab. The tab is available when you select Customer in the Module Selection field.

SystemsLink test page

Showing licensing errors (TSW-549)

The SystemsLink test page did not always show licensing errors, which made it difficult to tell whether the test was valid. Any errors that occur now show on the SystemsLink test page.

Webframework service

Enable logging on the webframework service (TSW-640]

When using the webframework setting service to configure TMWGo, the system timed out. The SettingsService.svc, was not set up to be compatible with NLogger. You can enable logging for the framework services by adding the following configuration lines to the webframework services', Web.config file.

Resolved issues

CarrierHub

  • TSW-493
    When clicking on specific loads within the carrier’s Assigned Loads page, you received errors. When viewing details, you received an Object references error. As a result, carriers were unable to view load details for their orders in the Fuel Load Details page.

Creating user accounts

  • TSW-572
    When creating or updating a user account, you received an error message. This issue applied to:

    • Creating new users

    • Updating existing users

    • Creating new sub users

    • Updating existing sub users

  • TSW-574
    The system issued object reference errors on adjusted orders.

eStat

  • TSW-588
    When performing a column sort in the eStat grid, the row selected did not show the text in the column’s cell. This issue occurred when the grid’s Background Color and Header Background Color were set to the same color.

Offer emails for split trips

  • TSW-516
    You were unable to send Load Offer emails to carriers and have them accept them for split trips. This issue caused Object Reference errors to occur.

Mapping trips

  • TSW-481
    When you clicked the Map Selected or Map All commands in the View Available Loads page, a timeout error occurred. The page is available when you select Customer and then Tracking from the main menu.

Security

  • TSW-593
    A denial of service vulnerability existed when OData Library, also known as OData Denial of Service Vulnerability, improperly handled web requests. This affected Microsoft.Data.OData.

TMWGO Service settings

  • TSW-640
    When you used TMWGO to access a service for settings, the system timed out.

CarrierHub

  • TSW-615
    When you added a check call in the Carrier Trip Details page, the system did not generate an e-mail notification to confirm that it was received.
