Before upgrading your production environment, Trimble Transportation recommends that you read the system requirements and install the latest version in a test environment. If you have questions, please contact your Trimble customer representative.

Requirements

Dispatch systems, core functionality

  • TMWSuite core application version 2016.15_07.0311 or later

  • Fuel TMS version 16.20 or later

    Note: For Fuel installations, download and run PTS#89965 SQL against your fuel database.

  • TMW Operations version 16.20 or later

Dispatch systems using 2019.2 integration components

  • TMW Operations based functions are utilizing TMW Operations 2019.2 components

  • Fuel TMS based functions are utilizing Fuel TMS 2019.2 components

  • LTL Operations based functions are utilizing LTL Operations 2019.2 components

Microsoft SQL Server

SQL Server 2012 or later is required for this installation and for running ETSDBMods (Web Enterprise DBMods).

Microsoft® .NET Framework

Install or upgrade to the latest version of the Microsoft .NET Framework on your system. At a minimum, you should have V.4.6.2 installed.

As part of Trimble Transportation’s continuous improvement process, we have upgraded our applications to use Microsoft’s .NET Framework version 4.6.2. As a result, the minimum technical requirements have changed as follows:

  • Client operating systems must be at Windows 7 SP1 or higher.

  • Server operating systems must be at Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 or higher.

If you are installing any of the Trimble Web Products applications, the installer will validate the proper version is installed. If it is not, you cannot complete the installation.

Trimble Transportation recommends that you test the Microsoft .NET Framework upgrade in your test environment prior to upgrading any of your production environments. This testing will indicate if there are environmental issues that must be addressed by you, and which are not the responsibility of Trimble.

Installer

Non-Production Environment License limit is set to 100 users.

MSI

Additional setting relative to installing Framework allows you to place web-framework on the internal server. Framework is a requirement and must be installed during the new installation or upgrade process.

SSRS Report Library

If installing using the MSI, your report server must be at SQL Server 2008R2 or higher.

Enhancements

eStat

Check the maximum order volume against the Full Trailer Amount in Tank Forecast Setup (TSW-183)

Previously, customers could place fuel orders that exceeded the Full Trailer Amount used with the Tank Forecast Setup. This caused planning issues or incorrect inventory. Now, you can use the Restrict Total Volume feature to prevent users from making this mistake. If a customer tries to place a fuel order that doesn’t meet the volume requirements, they receive an error message. It states, "Volume must be greater than the minimum <Threshold Value>."

Prevent orders from having GAS and DSL on the same order (TSW-184)

Previously, customers were able to place fuel orders that included gas and diesel commodities. Usually, stores do not want gas and diesel commodities on the same order. Now, you can enable the Diesel/Gas feature to prevent users from entering these commodities on the same order. If they try to enter an order with gas and diesel commodities, they receive an error message. By default it states, "Restriction: Cannot order both diesel and gas together. Order not saved." However, your hosting company can change that message.

Using order cutoff times with deliver windows (TSW-346)

Previously, the system did not restrict delivery window options on fuel orders. Customers could place an order and the system would allow it to be delivered the same day. Sometimes this would result in retain/runout issues at stores. Now, you can enable the Restrict Delivery Window Based on Cutoff Times feature to restrict delivery window options. When customers create fuel orders, the system restricts delivery window options based on order entry cutoff times.

Identifying tanks by commodity class instead of commodity name (TSW-347)

Previously, the system displayed the commodity name (such as Unleaded 82) for your customers when they place an order on the Fuel Order Entry page. There may be times when you want to change the commodity’s display name on this page. Now, you can use the Use Commodity Class as Name feature to display different commodity names on the Fuel Order Entry page.

Note: When enabled, this setting changes how the system displays commodity names on the Fuel Order Entry page. The system uses the value in the [FuelDispatch]CommoditySubclass setting of your customer’s TTS50 to determine which commodity class is displayed.

Rebranding Client Center (TSW-65)

Updated our company name and logo to the Trimble brand.

TMW Go!

Ability to switch driver assignments between trip segment (leg) numbers and order numbers
(TME- 446, TME- 450, TME- 451, TME- 454, TME- 455, TME- 456, TME- 457, and TME- 458)

Previously drivers would see their assignments listed by trip segment (leg) number. Now, drivers can view their assignments by order number or trip segment (leg) number.

TME-458 added a new setting in the Trimble Web Products that allows system administrators to switch how TMW Go! displays driver assignments. Changes made to this setting effect all TMW Go! Driver users.

With this setting enabled, the following changes occur in the application:

  • Home screen (TME-446)

    The Home screen displays order numbers instead of trip segment numbers.

  • Menu and Order screen (TME-450 TMW Operations and TME-451 Fuel Dispatch)

    When viewing on smartphones, the menu displays Orders instead of Legs.

    The Trips screen is replaced by the Order screen. The Order(s) screen displays your current order along with details about that order.

    Note: If you are assigned to consolidated orders, the header displays Orders <Order Number>, <Order Number>, instead of Order <Order Number>.

  • Trip Planning screen (TME-454)

    The Trip Planning screen displays order numbers instead of trip segment numbers.

  • Load Offers screen (TME-455)

    The Load Offers screen displays order numbers instead of trip segment numbers.

  • Missing Paperwork screen (TME-456)

    The Missing Paperwork screen displays missing paperwork organized by order number instead of trip segment number.

    Note: Also, this enhancement changed how the Missing Paperwork screen displays consolidated orders when the user is in Trip mode and not in Order mode.

  • Messages screen (TME-457)

    The Messages screen displays order numbers instead of trip segment numbers.

Resolved issues

CarrierHub

  • TSW-134

    Fixed an issue where the CarrierHub Carrier Auction Exporter was not processing e-mails fast enough or not at all.

  • TSW-153

    Fixed an issue where users were receiving an invalid error message when attempting to view orders.

Installer (TMW Go!)

TME-493

Fixed an issue where the licensing URL was not being updated correctly during an installation or upgrade.
